We had a productive week this week while we are away.

Summer Harvest 2014

We are really enjoying the summer house this year and had a great time harvesting squash and eggplant. If only mom knew how to cook it. =)

I(4) decided to borrow my sunglasses for harvesting.

Sunshine Weekend!

Pablo and I returned home Saturday while the boys were having a good time with Mimi and Gampa.

They came upon a carnival in Roswell with their cousins.

I love this one!

Costa Rica 2014

Pablo and I were 4 years overdue for a adult only vacay and opted for Costa Rica this year with our friends A+A.

 

We enjoyed our first night in Tamarindo for dinner.

 

We relaxed day 1 and then hit the ground running day 2 with a white water rafting trip with brothers Chuta and Gorge.

Day 2 was Barinque with Atv rides and panoramic views.

The boys decided to take a dip in the waterfall, but A and I decided it was way too cold. Smart girls.

Next up horseback riding to the zip lines

After zip lining over 500' ravines, we had lunch and then missed each other up with volcanic mud.

Breakfast nearly everyday looked like this.

 

We wrapped the whole week up with a catamaran sail and paddle boarded before watching the sunset.

 

Our reservations were lost, so we caught a late taxi ride and listened to the best music of all time. Starting with Patrick Swayze’s and then this…

 

Brotherly Love

I(4) found a new seat behind his brother.

We enjoyed celebrating with our family today for Cousin D(3)’s third birthday!

Casa de Weintraub Take 2 Week 2

It was only 4 years ago when we renovated the house the 1st time and now we’re going for Round 2. Thankfully, we found some kind neighbors who were leaving for the Summer and agreed to rent us their house. We have good Karma and are across the street from our house during the renovations. Yes, we are lucky folk.

This is our view.

And the demo begins. We were a bit worried that N(4) would be upset that his bedroom was disappearing and being replaced with stairs…

…but he’s more excited about the staircase and his room being UPstairs. Whew!

Kiddos–July 4th

The kids have been waking up really early, so I took them out for breakfast and on a hunt for biscuits, because that’s what I(4) really wanted this morning. Let me just start by saying everything is closed July 4th - Chik Fil A, closed, Buttermilk Kitchen, opens at 8am (too darn late), and finally we ended up at Flying Biscuit, the Paces Ferry one.

We had a great time with Pop fireworks and then took a shower outside in our Summer House. After that, the kids loved dancing naked on the porch and watching the lightening bugs light up the backyard.
