Edie's Birthday - 31 and counting

I had my family over for a raw birthday fest. We ate Zucchetti with marinara sauce, cheese dip with mexican crackers and chocolate and key lime pies. Delicious!
Look, Dad's eating veggies!

Evan was just too cute in this photo and Sean and Kelly holding Sadie with those cheeks! Precious! Sean brought over the wii fit board and Evan was dying to play with it. Unfortunately or fortunately, his weight didn't register. I couldn't help myself, Sean Hoola Hooping was the funniest thing....

Wheatgrass and Sushi

Our wheatgrass harvest from our 1/2 tray. This was just enough for 3oz. Good thing the full tray is growing nicely. Next time, not hydroponic, I like playing in the dirt too much.

Paul has discovered Buford's Farmers Market's sashimi grade fish and using the wonderful sushi kit that Jillian and Jesse got for him, he's been making this gorgeous sushi! Spicy Salmon rolls...Ru San's better watch it!

Key Lime Pie is my new Love!

FOCUS - Raw Pot Luck Day!

ACTION - Today Pablo and I attended a raw pot luck we found on meetup.com in Atlanta. Chef Jenya had us at her house and demonstrated how to open a thai coconut, created a smoothie in her Blendtec and let us all try a Durian. What a delicious treat! It was like vanilla/banana pudding consistency. In the photo above - jicama warps, chocolate ganache pie, key lime pie (April you rock!), Cheese Dip with Sunflower Flax cracker which tasted like real cheese and Jenya's Chocolate Bliss drinks. Everything was so delicious! Pablo and I came home and split a pomello and rested until we made dinner.

FUEL - I pigged out today on key lime pie, chocolate bliss drink, raw cheese and flax crackers, jicama rolls and "potato" salad. Pablo feasted on sushi and I created tomato soup with rice pasta. ---->

EMOTIONS - What a great day - to learn about so many raw foodies and her their experiences.
<------My Reece's Almond Butter Cups - DELICIOUS!

PHYSICAL - Sadly, we did not get to walk today it was a bit chilly out and we had too much fun relaxing and watching some silly movie - Half Nelson.

GRATITUDE - I am thankful for the new raw foodies we met today and look forward to seeing them again at our next raw dinner.
QUOTE - Everything I eat has been proved by some doctor or other to be a deadly poison, and everything I don't eat has been proved to be indispensable for life. But I go marching on. ~George Bernard Shaw
These are our new wheatgrass babies on the left that we're growing hydroponically. The ones on the right are close to being harvested along with the sunflower grees behind them.

European Hotels

Here is a picture of my room this week at the SEPP Hotel in Marktoberdorf. Really cool room on the top floor with a wonderful view of the mountains. The room is more like a studio apartment with a full living room on lower part of the room and a small kitchen off to the side which includes a frige, sink, oven, and stove top. The unfortunate thing about this room , which you should know that there is always something different with european hotel rooms is that there is a very nice looking single pane sun roof in the bathroom, which I am sure is very nice in the summer but when it is 12 degrees outside it tends to make your bathroom absolutely freezing, to the point where you have to talk yourself up to go in there. Regardless, it is a very nice room and it will be a very good week. - Paul
