Amsterdam Ren Dez Vou

Pablo and I met up in Amsterdam this weekend. A stop on his European tour...

Of course one of the first things you MUST do in Amsterdam is have a DUTCH PANCAKE! We went to the Pancake Bakery just 3 blocks from our hotel. Paul ordered a Greek Pancake with tzitzaki sauce and lamb. I had a Greenlandic with Brie cheese, spinach and cashews. Not quite raw, but lots of greens and protein from the cheese.

I rolled mine up and ate it like an omelets, but before I did - It was pretty like this:

Pekka and Deepak are with us and Pekka had a Chili Pancake and Deepak had a Egyptian.

The weather is comfortable for walking around and we walked for 3 hours after breakfast/lunch. We found this cute building along the way, with dolls and creatures crawling up the side of the bricks:

What happens if you kiss a troll? It's good luck right? We discovered a troll/fairy shop with costumes for Renaissance or Lord of the Ring's adventures with fairys and this cute troll:

Pablo was ready for an afternoon nap, so we came back to the hotel where I could blog and he could nap. What a great arrangement! Just for posterity sake, we stayed at the Renaissance Marriott

We're off to an Italian restaurant tonight!

Joey's Project on Austria

Joey was working on a project at school regarding Austria coincidentally the same day that Paul and my parents were visiting Austria. They snapped this photo across the border and sent it via email to Joey's teacher. When Joey presented that day, Uncle Paul's photo was there with him.

What a cool Uncle!

Don't you think my tractor's sexy?

Paul and I attended the Tractor Revolution event for AGCO at the Georgia Dome last night. After I climbed into one, the dealer waiting for his turn reminded us of the song "Don't you think my tractor's sexy?" He also said that John Deere don't got nothing on AGCO. We dined with some folks from Wisconsin and learned that dealers from all over North American cam to Atlanta for this event which has been 5 years in the making...

Paul has been trying to add more country music to my world. That being said, I really enjoyed this part of the night.....

Dynamic Dish and UFC

Paul and I went to Dynamic Dish with Rachel and Matt Friday night. What a unique find. http://www.dynamicdish.net/

They buy local produce from farmers and the menu is on a chalk board at the front. It's definately a must see. Paul and I had a red beet quinoa salad and a flatbread (like a pizza, but very more crusty). It was delicious! Rachel brought me these gorgeous flowers and vase for my birthday. I loved how organic it all was. There were about 6 tables and wooden tables and it was all so cute. So cute in fact, that I am asking Adam and Beth eat dinner with us there on the 13th.

We viewed the UFC St. Pierre vs. BJ Penn fight at Adam's on Saturday with Beth, Sam and Susan, Amy and Connie and Dave. Paul brought his sushi kit and made some homemade sushi rolls, Adam and Beth made sauces and stir fry and Connie brought a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for herself. Too funny! I made this cute salad: sunflower greens, apples, almonds, cranberries and pumpkin seeds. Delicious!

Sunday Paul took me to the Flower show and to see Slum Dog Millionaire as a late birthday present. The show was beautiful and we saw lots of gorgeous flowers and pictures. There was even a landscape design with a bed hovering over a reflecting pool. We took note of it for our future home. The movie was remarkable. I had a full bladder the whole movie, but could not get up from my seat for fear an integral part of Jamal's life. Hopefully Hollywood will bring in more ventures with Bollywood. Funny, I loved the dancing at the end, especially the two kids. They were just precious!
