Paul and I found out today that we're pregnant! Exciting exciting exciting! It's kind of surreal at this point because other than some slight cramping, being more tired and sore boobs, I really feel no different.
Another two weeks and we can have an ultrasound and see the little heartbeat!

Lake Lanier with the Family
Mom and Dad borrowed Susan and Kenny’s boat and we cruised around Lake Lanier on a beautifully sunny Sunday. Sadie performed well as El Capitano and enjoyed being with her Dad on the tube for a couple of knots. Sean even took mom on the tube and Dad looked like he had a good time. All in all, it was a fun day, we brought lunch with us and ate on the boat in a little cove. On the way back to the dock, another boat created a wake in the no wake zone. I sat up to hear mom say, “Hold On.” At which point the boat front smashed the water and Pablo, who was just about dry, was hit with a big wave and splashed. Hee hee

Our Picnic at the Hooch
Pablo recieved a basket from one of his vendors with vino, cheese, crackers and lots of other delicious goodies. We packed up the cooler that Jesse gave Paul as a groomsmen gift and strolled off to the Hooch where we found a lovely spot on the water and surprisingly no ants.
Here's our lovely spread.
Paul even had a little friend stop over on his chest while he was napping. Can you see the dragon fly? My camera was having a hard time focusing so close.

July 4th - Savannah, Georgia
We've got the car packed and we're heading down the highway. Stopping at the airport to pick up our South African friend Oliver, we armed ourselves with Dairy Queen and Dunkin Donuts for the 4 hour drive to Savannah.
When we arrived in Savannah, we checked into the Courtyard Downtown on W. Liberty Street and bolted out the door to grab a late dinner.

Our noses led us to Fiddlers Crab House on River Street. After we giggled about Oliver's first crawfish experience, we traversed the cobblestones for some sweets and ended up at Savannah Sweets where Amy and I feasted on a chocolate, caramel covered apple.
As if Savannah Sweet's weren't enough! Amy, Paul and Oliver got up extra early to wait in line for lunch at Lady and Sons, Paula Dean's restaurant on Whitaker Street while I was having my mouth propped open with impressions for Invisalign with Tad.

The fried green tomatoes and peach cobbler were the best part of lunch. But Amy and I were dissatisfied and HAD to go to Huey's for beignets. These were delicious! After lunch we rested and then headed to Forsyth Park, infamous for it's gorgeous water fountain (I'm waiting to steal Oliver's photos).

Dinner was at Local 11 Ten, a restaurant I discovered where they serve local, fresh food. The atmosphere was great, it was an old bank and the white brick blended nicely with the warm tans and leather upholstery.

Post dinner, we people watched on our river cruise. We were all shocked at the number of kidlets, even a newborn baby that joined us on the 3rd deck.
Saturday morning we woke early to head over to Tybee Island for our kayaking adventure. I'm just sad thinking that Amy didn't want to come with us that morning. We threatened to send Oliver up to get her...it worked and she gained the title, Captain Mud. See for yourself....
Lunch was at North Beach Grill, a funky little shack with some very interesting people watching where I realized that I hate peeling the little legs off shrimp. Who knows how long it will be before I eat those guys again. Ew. Regardless of my shrimp dish, I did save room for the Sugar Shack on Tybee Island where we had some homemade ice cream and sprinkles! Yum! We made it back to the hotel to shower and rest before catching up with Oliver and his friends from the night before at The Distillery. Oliver polished off a Stoopid beer and Tad joined us for a drink or two before heading home for a kid-less night with Paige.
Amy, Paul and I secured great seats on the River to watch the fireworks. And yes, I stopped into get more beignets before the show.

Of course, no road trip is a road trip without stopping at Cracker Barrel, and we did. We inducted Amy and Oliver at the same time!
