Xmas in Jupiter

 

 

Xmas in Jupiter you ask? Why of course! We'd have it no other way! Paul and I make the annual pilgrimage to Jupiter Florida to see Phil, Janice, Michele, Josue, Joey, Raquel, Jesse, Jillian, Isabella, Victoria, Jeremy, Grandma Kay and Papa Jim. Yes, all of them. After the feast we nestle in for a little gift giving. This year was one of my favorites since I had the best seat in the house next to Jillian - who was just so so so excited for one of her gifts. I can't just put one photo, since I think the three photos best tell the true story. Jillian and her iMAC. She was the happiest little camper that night.

Phil and Janice get Married!

 

In March of 2007, Paul and I were excited to be a part of the momentous evening where Phil surprised Janice with an marriage proposal at the location of their first date, Off the Vine. Seven months later, the wedding is underway. The bride and groom were toasted by many at the rehearsal dinner at Carmine's Friday evening. All were in attendance and energized by the fiancées.

Wedding Day is here on Saturday, October 27th. Paul and I had a a little excitement ourselves as Paul discovered at 4pm that afternoon that the suit he brought from Atlanta had my pants and his jacket. We performed an immediate recon and dashed to the Palm Beach Gardens Mall to quickly get Paul outfitted for the evening. Never before have you seen such speed! In and out of the mall in all of 20 minutes. Janice and Phil had NO clue.

 

 

Raquel and Joey were just angels and I had to include a photo of the two of them...

 

Our legs got a little tired and we all decided to chair dance our way through the end of the evening.

Versailles and Paris

Yes, that's me and my ol' pal Mona Lisa. I noticed it was quite small and visitors had to stand at least 15 feet away. What makes this DaVinci so profound? Well, the answer is there on my face. The Mona Lisa doesn't quite look like she's smiling, but doesn't quite look like she's frowning either. Maybe is shows the duality of spirits? Continuing on, I spent the day wandering Paris and finally came back the hotel to crash about 5pm. Thank goodness that there was a knock on the door at 6pm to awaken me, as I would have gladly slept through the night. Paul and I skipped the French food and went straight for the Italian. After which, we walked to the Eiffel Tower so see its evening glow. Not quite the photographer, but this is a pretty cool photo.

The next day we took the train to Versailles. What a gorgeous place, we walked the grounds once at which point I decided that a people tram would take us to Marie Antoinette's house. I thoroughly insisted that we'd get there by tram but oops, Paul was quite upset when he realized I was wrong. The tram took us back to the Palace and Marie's crib was on the other side of the grounds. Another trek down the gravel walkway. We lunched at the cafe on the water and then Paul's whisked me away on a romantic rowboat! It was quite an afternoon!

District of Columbia

I visited Pablo in DC where he took me to his old stomping grounds, a park that he loved going to as a child.

A visit with Emily and Kelly…

Cayman Islands

Pablo, Kelly, Sean and I vacationed together in the Caymans and had ourselves a little adventure.

We went eco-kayaking and learned about the mangroves and touched some jelly fish.

We enjoyed every sunset.

Even tried to drop Kelly off in Hell. =)

Lash’s Baby Shower

Due in two months with the first grandbaby, Ashley was so excited to bring Evan into the world.

Phil’s engagement to Janice

 

Phil surprised Janice with a proposal at Off the Vine in Palm Beach Gardens. On the menu for the evening was “Marry Me Meatloaf.” Janice had to make sure they did not change the recipe that she almost missed the substance of the revised name.

Jeremy, Isabella, Vic, Jesse, Jillian, Paul and I were all there to experience the bliss with them.
